Composed in 1929 for a Cotton Club show, this is one of Ellington’s flashiest and exciting pieces of the period. It’s a real crowd pleaser, but not in a superficial way. Everyone has fun playing this chart. Trumpet 1 up to C. All solos, bass, and drums notated.
