Don Redman’s 1940 arrangement of Jelly Roll Morton’s Milenberg Joys. Who better than Redman, an alum of Jelly Roll’s Red Hot Peppers, to translate this New Orleans classic for big band. Redman’s humor abounds throughout, especially in the trio chorus. All the recorded solos and rhythm section parts are written out.
