Four Or Five Times was a hit for the Jimmy Lunceford band, arranged by Sy Oliver with trumpet solo and vocal by Sy. It was an old novelty tune even in 1935. The lyric is one big double entendre—though not very subtle—what else could he be referring to? The relaxed groove and swinging figures are absolutely infectious. There are a couple of high C#s in the first trumpet, but they are easily approached. A solid grade 4.
