Choo Choo by Duke Ellington, transcribed by David Berger
Alto Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, Banjo, Piano and Drums. Although there is no bass or tuba on the recording, we have provided a bass part in case one is desired.
Recorded in 1924 on Ellington’s first record date, this piece owes much to Don Redman and Jelly Roll Morton. Ellington shows us glimmers of what is to come a few years later.
Style: 1920s Jazz
Solos: Alto Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, Banjo
